Gastroesophageal reflux disease

Gastroesophageal reflux occurs in everyone because it allows elimination of gas absorbed while eating. However, it can sometimes become pathological and cause different embarrassing symptoms. It is known as Gastroesophageal reflux disease. This problem is very widespread among the population; 1 out of 3 person suffers from acid reflux symptoms and almost one adult out of 10 is affected by it at least once a week at varying degrees ranging from simple acid regurgitation to real heartburn and pains that can sometimes be incapacitating. Gastroesophageal reflux can also be found in children and babies.
